The WinemakerThe Winemaker is a short film, shot in Newberg, OR at a small winery. The protagonist, Joanie, harbors a secret of cosmic proportions. A menacing gadget delivers a message that forces her to make a decision. Will she abandon all she’s built or stay and finish the year’s vintage before her enemies come for vengeance?
The film is now completed. Thanks to all who contributed, and with gratitude the Regional Arts & Culture Council of Portland.

That last shot feeling.
When I look at this photo, I remember exactly what I felt. It was indescribable. Getting that last shot of our movie on day 3 of filming! It literally feels like an impossible thing—to finish a movie—up until the last moment. I heard my A.D. Emily Laue make that announcement (on the far left in this photo) and did a crazy laugh-cry that left a mark.
